Thank you to all the students that turned out for tryouts!  We had a great group of students to choose from, which made it a very difficult decision.  At this time tryouts are complete for current 6th and 7th graders.

 Tryouts for current 5th grade students at BES/SGA will be held Wednesday June 8th from 10AM-12PM.  We are not going to be able accept many upcoming players due to roster limitations.  Make sure they bring a completed physical from a physician.

About me 

This is my first year in the classroom, and I couldn’t be more excited to start this journey right here at home in Burke County. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in December 2024 with my Bachelor of Education degree with concentrations in Social Studies/ELA and a heart full of passion for helping students grow, learn, and explore the world around them through history and culture. I also had the privilege of serving as a long-term substitute teacher here at BCMS during the second half of last school year, which helped confirm how passionate I am about working with our amazing students and families.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active by playing tennis, spending time with my dog Luna (5 year old Shih-poo), and exploring new places to eat out). I’m also a proud sneakerhead and love sneakers.

I am dedicated to creating a supportive, engaging, and inclusive environment for all my students. I believe that when students feel safe, seen, and heard, they can do amazing things—and I’m committed to being a part of that journey every step of the way.
