Mrs. Kelly's English/Language Arts Class - Team 8-K

This course is designed to expose students to more rigorous reading and writing experiences aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence for eighth grade.  Our ultimate goal is the work for proficiency in all standards of English/Language Arts to earn a three or higher on the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS).  Students will be immersed in critical thinking and analysis daily to encourage thorough and articulate self-expression through reading, writing, and discussion.  Daily reading and annotation is a cornerstone of this class to ensure students work to meet and exceed the state required Lexile level of 1097 by the end of the year.
