Dear parents and guardians,

        I first of all would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child to the eighth grade.  I will be your child’s math teacher for this school year.  As students progress through the years, we know that content, responsibility and expectations increase as well.  In the resource room, I will work diligently along side your child to ensure success and offer them the best possible experience as long as they are willing to cooperate and work with me.  With that being said, I want to make sure that you know that we will always have an open line of communication available.  As we start the year and move forward, please do not hesitate to contact me with any issues that may arise, whether it is concerning academics, behavior or any other problem that you feel is a concern.  My goal is for your child to pass the eighth grade, progress successfully to the high school and become a productive citizen wherever life may take them.  Please partner with me in this endeavor of making this the best and most successful year for your child.  I will place my contact information at the close of this letter.  Again, feel free to contact me at any time.  I will be making contact with you as well from time to time to give you updates on your child.
