I am excited about being your child's 8th grade ELA teacher at Burke County Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year. 

 

Although I am new to Burke County, I am not new to education. I am starting my 12th year, and I am excited to be at BCMS. I spent 3 years as a Media Specialist at Monte Sano Elementary and Cross Creek High School, 7 years at Cross Creek High School as a Social Studies teacher, teaching Government, U.S. History, AP Government, and AP U.S. History, and the last 2 years at the Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School teaching 8th grade GA Studies. 

 

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ashford University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Phoenix, School Library Media Specialist Certification, Tier 1 Educational Leadership certification, and Educational Specialist in Secondary Education & Teaching from the University of West Georgia. 

 

I am married to my high school sweetheart (Trey) and we have two sons, Braxton & Emerson.

We enjoy watching college football (Go Dawgs), traveling in our new camper, Disney World, spending time with our family & friends, and watching our oldest son play travel baseball. 

 

I look forward to an amazing year #ChasingGreatness at Burke County Middle School.
