👋 Hello! My name is Ms. Maddox, and I am a Computer Science teacher at Burke County Middle School. I have over 20 years of experience in education and love helping students learn through hands-on, engaging, and real-world experiences.

- Hello! My name is Ms. Maddox, and I am a Computer Science teacher at Burke County Middle School with over 20 years of experience in education. I teach Foundations of Secure Information Systems, Foundations of Computer Programming, and Foundations of Interactive Design, and I have also taught Engineering Technology, AP Computer Science, AP Statistics, and Mathematics. My classes focus on hands-on, student-centered learning using LEGO robotics, VEX Robotics, Scratch coding, and micro:bit technology to help students think critically, collaborate, and solve real-world problems. I hold an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Augusta University, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and an Associate’s degree in Computer and Electronics Engineering Technology. My certifications include Computer Science (P–12) and Mathematics (6–12), along with endorsements in PBIS, Teacher Support and Coaching, and Coaching. In addition to teaching, I serve as a mentor teacher, support STEM initiatives, and am a member of the PBIS Team, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. My goal is to ensure all students feel supported, challenged, and prepared for future success through meaningful, technology-rich learning experiences.
