This is the new scale routine you are to practice each week. The video does it five times -- so you can finish in four days. Or you can sing it four times in five days if you prefer.

Due:
Watch these videos and try to sing one different line each day using solfege. You can do it keeping a beat or using the solfege hand signs.
I will give you two weeks to practice this -- then you will do a loom video of you singing one of these lines. You can use either method -- keeping rhythm with pat and snap, or singing while pulsing solfege signs. Choose the method that is easiest for you.

Due:
Each slide has two measures with four beats in each measure. You have more time values to think about with this assignment and you need to think carefully about the time values and what combinations add up to four. Make each of your five slides a different combination of notes for both measures. This will be a great artifact to show that you understand music symbols and how to read music rhythm. MMSIC 3 b.
Due:
You should be singing your scale with correct hand signs every day.
You are asked to sing it 20 times every week -- that is four times five days or five times four days or ten times 2 days or twenty times one day. Four times five days is the best plan.
After you practice your scale -- fill out the attached form and tell how many times you sang the scale. Up and down one time counts as one.

The link below will lead you to some fun websites that you can use to make a groove. A groove is a repeated performance pattern that you use over and over while you perform other things on top of it. Next week you are going to create a groove or perform a groove to use while you say a short rap. This week decide if you will use one of these technologies or just body percussion to make your groove. You don't have to make your groove yet, but choose the way you are going to do it. Submit your answer in the form below.
Due:
Click on the link and join our flip grid class by entering through google. OR If that doesn't work go the the Landing Page and find your class code.
