Online Textbooks for extra practice and helphttp://www.gavirtuallearning.org/Resources/SharedMSLA6Do you notice that your child is struggling in a particular area (Science, Social Studies, Math, ELA)? Here is an online resource that you might find useful. Click on the link provided. The link will take you to the middle school resources. Look under the box that says "courses." If your child is having trouble with Math, then click on the tab that says "MS Math 7th Grade (Updated '17)." Then you have an option to click on the different topics that we will study this year. Ex: Currently we are talking about "Probability." To view the resources click the word "view" beside probability. From here there will be a review page that comes up telling you what will be covered in that section. Click next at the top of the screen when you are ready to move on. The website is full of interactives that the students can use to better understand the topics. This is a really good resource. Please feel free to use this resource as much as you would like. The best part is....IT'S FREE!!!
Study Island- You will find the login information for this in your child's planner. This is a great tool for all content areas (notes, practice, review, explanations, etc) and the standards are aligned to our GSE standards.
TenMarks- You will find the login information for this in your child's planner. This is a great resource. It is aligned to our GSE standards, has practice sessions, tutoring (your child can watch someone work through different problems with them), and an explanation if they have trouble with a particular question.
IPASS- You will find the login information for this in your child's planner. This resource gives your child a pretest at the beginning of the year to see where they have any weaknesses in math. Once the pretest is completed, your child will have individualized instruction in all areas of math that they may need help. They can work on this at anytime and accelerate their learning through 8th grade.
