Mrs. Ellison 8th Grade Reading

I am married with 4-year old twin boys. I enjoy reading, shopping, and cooking. I have been a member of the BCMS family since January 2008. I have taught as a math co-teacher for 6th and 7th grade, Study Skills (all grades) and 6th and 8th grade Mathematics.  I am now embarking upon a new journey this year as a Reading Instructor.   I acquired a Bachelors of Business Administration from Mercer University in 2007, Masters of Arts in Teaching from Augusta State University in 2009 and Education Specialist Degree from Augusta State University in 2012.

As we embark upon this school term, I am looking forward to my students embracing their own ideals and developing skills that increase their ability to become self-reflective learners. I am passionate about teaching middle schoolers; their uniqueness is very impactful in their ability to think critically and problem solve. My goal is to ignite their desire to read. I am elated to be teaching the 2022 Cohort and anticipating high student achievement this school term.
